Whenever you need an nice looking Download Section for your documents, you can use the template provided below.
It consists of a table construct that stores a LINK entry, followed by a FILENAME and a DESCRIPTION of the file.
Descriptions of the template components are provided below. For best comprehension, one needs to have editor access to the WIKI markdown and review the source of this page. Implementation Table and associated Icon and File pointers can be found at the end under FINAL RENDITION section.
The LINK entry combines the Download icon (DLicon) with the respective file pointer (fn), resulting in the following icon image. When this icon is clicked, it will download the associated file.
Is the text identification of the file. It will be displayed under the Filename heading of the table.
Is the text description of the file to be downloaded. It will be displayed under the Description heading of the table.
Can be any image you desire. It needs to be placed in the specified directory of your chosing.
It is the pointer to the file that will be downloaded. It is the user's responsibility to provide a proper filename with an appropriate extension; and the file needs to be placed into the specified directory.
If you have more than one file, you can create multiples of these entries and name them sequentially: f1, f2, etc. Since the download icons are always the same, you ony need one icon image; but you need multiple file entries, one for each file.
The feature makes use of the TABLE construct of the Markdown. Table markdown entries make use of | (vertical bars) to separate table columns and rows. Be careful when editing the provided template not to distort the table syntax requirements.
Enjoy!
